Sometimes a person is flying down the road and everything becomes a blur! Do you find yourself with a task list that doesn't end? And wow, does it every feel good when you can cross off most of your daily task list and not just move it to the tomorrow pile and cheat!!! Hahaha!

"A train went by here! You can see it's tracks!" The 3 day weekend is over and today I have to head back to the salt mine for 4 days. The countdown to the next 3 day weekend begins. My camera's battery is charged and ready to find that special Kodak moment of the week. I guess you call this routine. Planning on taking a trip to the Pass for the weekend coming up again. It is always nice to get away to a different world for a bit. If you don't do something really different now and then, you end up in a rut going down the same "track".

March 9, 2010 - A New Day Has Arrived!

Might even call this, the light at the end of the tunnel! Haha Well, this is the beginning of the new sign up at work where we can change routes and shifts. I kept the the same route and the same 4 day work week once again.

March 8, 2010 - Up the Creek Photos Ready!

Adding photos from yesterday, a stroll down by the creek that we did yesterday. Sometimes it is nice just to go out for a walk and enjoy some of nature! That helps clear the mind and get a person out of their rut. Bring a camera with you as you never know when you will find that Kodak moment!

When I went to my pension information meeting, I came across this eggciting display in the Municiple Building. Well, it was interesting to learn further of how the pension system work and the many options that can be chosen from and sad to learn that I had a ways to go before collecting! Oh well! Back to the salt mine!

The sun is going down on another day! Days turn into weeks and weeks into months and months into... well, you know that story, i am sure! Sometimes it is good to see the sun going down on some days where Murphy's Law reigns! And now, what will tomorrow bring i wonder? There is always something in the works!

March 5, 2010 - Walking Through the Valley

On the way through the valley area home at night. Have you ever travelled through valleys in your life? I seem to be going through a 5 year valley and i cannot see the end of it. Ever heard the phrase about the light at the end of the tunnel. It goes out! Or when you get there, you find a train coming at you?!!! Hahaha, such is life! Sometimes all you can do is laugh even when it isn't funny!

When you find yourself going around in circles, come and hop on the Circle Route! Somedays it feels like this is the place to be going nowhere, but back to where you started from again!

March 3, 2010 - The Wait

Have a seat and wait. Wait for a better day tomorrow. Wait for the snow to disappear and the green of summer to appear. But sometimes a person can only "wait". Being a planner, it is hard to move forward with no goal to attain. One becomes adrift in the sea of time waiting for it to pass. How long is a wait? One never knows til they know!

March 2, 2010 - Back to Work

I was thinking yesterday about having to head back to Calgary and then today having to head back to work. Would it not be nice to travel around in an Rv where you are home wherever you are at and there is no having to head back to home? I think that it would be nice to have a home base in this area and then one down south in Arizona or Florida for the winters.

March 1, 2010 - Last Day in the Pass

We took a walk around in the town of Coleman as the sun had just set. And we would be driving back to Calgary in the dark of the night. It is always so nice to get away to the Pass. It is like being in another world down here.

February 29, 2010 - Crowsnest Pass Weekend

Motoring down hwy 3 west from Blairmore to Coleman. The Crowsnest mtn is in view. We went to look at homes for sale in the area with my stepdaughter and her fiancee who wanted to have a home of their own.

The Crowsnest Pass is a two hour drive south of Calgary. Here is downtown Blairmore in the wee hours of the morning. This was a spur of the moment trip down there.

February 26, 2010 - Bird of Flight!

I drove up towards the set of traffic lights looking at this weird thing on the road in the left turn lane. It looked almost like a cat with it's back to me although the top was rounded. It was an owl of all things! It took off as I pulled around it. Very strange to see that!

Sometimes it just seems that the destination is unclear or like a license plate once read... Destination Unknown!

February 24, 2010 - Skunk Encounter on the Way Home!

On the way home, this fellow blocked my path. I was giving him a quiet whistle to let him know that i was there and he started to move off to the left. That is the oval dark circle you see in the photo. I have seen him several times around this corner so he must live nearby. So far, so good, as i was within 15 ft of him on the first encounter. I will try and get a better photo on the next encounter, but will not try and get too close either!

Had taken a walk around to take more photos of the city. Sometimes a person just needs to get out and wander around, clear the air and perhaps get some new direction with a fresh look at things.

Oh what a great feeling to be able to call it a day with a 3 day weekend unfolding! Time to enjoy some time off once again! There was no skunk to encounter tonight on the way home.

February 5, 2010 - Skunk Encounter!

In the beginning of the day as i walked home from work only a few blocks away from this scenic overlook, there was a foul odor in the air. I whistled a bit here and there to alert the cat in the two piece suit that i was nearby. I walked up the hill further up the road and there was another odor so there were more than one skunk about. As i neared the top, i decided to go further up the hill and not turn just yet to check out the area better with the parked cars there. Sure enough, on the road beside the parked cars was a BIG skunk who went under one car to be out of sight. Well, i watched closely and he wasn't moving away so i walked on the other side of the road and then around the two parked cars and then on into the apartment. He was still under the car although i could not see him, i watched that he did not exit from either side of those two cars. Not as a close encounter as the last time i startled one digging in the garbage and was within 15 ft of him! Whew!

This photo reminds me of the movie that i have yet to go and see. "Avatar" Apparently, i have not yet heard one negative thing about this film. Everyone says to go and see it. Well, perhaps next weekend i will do that. I has to be good when you hear someone wanting to go see it a seocnd time!

January 29, 2010 - Direction???

Is this train coming or going? Could the photograph be reversed to confuse you? Life can sure be like that sometimes. Too much noise to filter out what you need to hear. Confusing signals. Have you ever hiked a path that was not well marked? Sometimes one path would meet another and you would be standing looking at both paths trying to figure out which is the right one to take. In some cases, we can only try a path to see where it leads and if not where we want to go, then we backtrack and take the other path.
