Time to pack up the toys and leave. Ugh! This was a 15 hr day! My muscles still feel it and could tell you a story or two!
The salon is now vacant with all the equipment gone! Just a memory left here. The dentist next door is leasing this space now. Will 2010 be better? There is always hope! And time will tell as it always does!
A new year approaches! Have you formed your New Year resolutions yet? Or are you afraid to because you might break them? Onward into 2010 we go ready or not!!! With the current recession, 2010 could be a year of great opportunities! 
Ohhhhhhh, the aching muscles! It was so hard to get out of bed. Today is a day of tying up the loose ends and getting ready to turn in the key to the salon and that is the end of that chapter in life! Onward to better opportunities in 2010!
Salon moving day! Just me and my other half with a 5 ton truck and a lot of heavy awkward stuff to load up and head for the garage to store it. Oh yes, I forgot about Dolly. There is nothing like having a Dolly to help with the work. It is like having a third person. It would have been nice to have had a crane to move the heavy items, but oh well, we did get it eventually completed.
And here is some of the many pieces that must be trucked away tomorrow! Farewell! The end of almost an 5 year era! It needs a new home, but there is none left for it! So it goes into storage til later!
The Christmas Gang meeting in the Crowsnest Pass and having a blast with the "Sing Star" game! It was sure nice to get away even though it was for two nights only! I usually like to work before i play, but this 4 day weekend went in reverse.
Linda and Emery on Christmas Day! Tis the season to be jolly. Not too much of the family are in the city anymore.
It says Merry Christmas on the sign and look at the size of the snowbanks!!!
Christmas is almost here once again! Time is moving far too quickly. This year is a very sad year of reflection.
A scene from a prior Christmas. Just found out today that the salon has now been leased out so all the equipment and everything must be taken out of there and on Christmas weekend as well. Some Christmas this is... Oh well, i have enjoyed Merry ones in the past so what is one that is not so Merry i ask! With some luck, someone may just buy all the equipment in here. I need a 5 yr vacation now for sure!
The days may be getting longer, but the time is getting shorter for removing all of the business equipment before the end of the month now! Seems like nothing is working here. There were no buyers, just some who wanted some of the pieces for dirt cheap! And as the countdown continues for Christmas, so the countdown continues to see the end of this madness for the last 5 years!
Lots of very big snowbanks around the city these days! Next week will be a crazy one with traffic everywhere!
Love them Saturdays.... two more days to go now and i start a different run come Tuesday, same days off! Snow here has been melting rather quickly so that is good. But then there is suppose to be more tomorrow! Arrghhh! Welcome to winter!
And the life of this crazy drunk stepping into traffice might go by quickly as well!!! Already the end of the year! Wow! Not too many days left! Wonder where they go to?
And mine are in storage. Oh well, another year i guess so will have to enjoy some of the light displays out there in the meantime! Here is the old bag of hot air himself wishing all a Merry Christmas!

Oh Christmas tree... Not too many more days to shop now! It sure doesn't feel like Christmas this year.
Nice cold minus 30 temperatures til Wednesday here... sure looks very cold here today! Off today to take more salon photos and to get more video to make a DVD.
Smile! It is - 40 C with the windchill factor here! BRRRRR!!! If the car starts, it is to church and then to make a hairstyling video! On with the day, but first i get some shut eye!
A day of freezing cold temperatures with plenty of artic air. Glad that i do not have to go out today! The door of opportunity seems to be opening to have a coffee meeting night for anyone interested in investing in real estate, stocks or doing a business venture. I have been working with a professional football player on setting this up! We will see how it turns out Monday night. Other then that spark happening, things are just not going anywhere right now. Sometimes all you can do is sit and wait.
A bus was stuck. It had to be dug out! Sure keeps the supervisors in shape! Big snow storm coming... 3 Fridays in a row! Yikes!
The slippery downhill road here got the best of this lady driver who met by accident with a light standard. She was a little bit shooked up, but with the rad still intact, she was able to drive away! Roads were treacherous today as more snow was falling. I hear another mega dump for Friday is on the way... That will make 3 major snowstorms on Fridays in a row!!! Yikes!
I ride up with Jack and then we trade places and he goes home and I slave away for the next 9 hours! Kind of a ritual!
No wonder why I am constantly broke! Another cold, cold day outside!!! Here is a story... A boat builder and his partner... The boat builder is inside hard at work carving out wooden row boats... His partner is in the lagoon hard at work chopping holes in the bottoms and sending them to Davy Jones's locker! What is the partner who is building them going to do when he finds out what his partner is doing that is very counterproductive???
A trip off to Stavely to retrieve my car finally! Had to shovel a path out of the garage for my car. A first meeting for forming a real estate mastermind group for Calgary is tonight!!! Many errands to run, but it should be a productive day! Too bad that it is suppose to be very cold today! Last day of my 3 day weekend! Oh well, on with the show!!!

Someone else was stuck and a good Samaritan was there to winch them out!

My rte 72 in fresh snow ploughed ruts. 
On my way back to the garage, I pass an operator stuck in the snow. Tried to rock him out, but he needed more time to dig his way out. He was tight against the curb.
We park our frosty buses for the night where it is warm! Then came the cold and windy walk home through many snow drifts! 
... And I would like to be going! Driving off into the blizzard unaware that I would be stuck a few more times before my shift was over! The story starts at the bottom of this post. 
"You want a piece of me? Huh? You want a piece of me? Huh? Sitting at a red light!
Jack wasn't making sure that no snowflakes got on the lens! Looks like someone was throwing snowballs at the driver!
Supervisor working feverishly to get us going again! He had a never ending list of stops to make that night!
I am going to rock this sucker free. The driver behind me in the other 72 was pretty much toast for the night where he was stuck!
Jack tries to get the bus unstuck. It just was not going to budge that easily.
A supervisor show up and tries to dig him out. I later tried rocking the bus and we eventually got it off the curb and was able to back down the hill and away we went back in service!
This is where I came into the picture tonight. My driver was stuck on the hill about one long block from where I was waiting. Someone at the top of the hill cut him off and he had to slam on the brakes and then slid back but had the rear wheel jump the curb putting him on track to hit the light standard that was behind him. There was another bus off the road on the right.
Standing at the crossroads of many paths wondering which way things will go. The salon that needs to get sold FAST, has 3 potential buyers now. We just need to find the best qualified one and make the deal happen! There is very little time left and great potential for the right party! Don't you just hate it when the pressure is on in these do or die situations? Best thing is try not to ever put yourself into situations in the first place! Winter has arrived here and of course I keep thinking about the warm places that I could have been right now. One day!
It is the start of another cold day! Ever feel like you are in a rut? Same ole day in, day out? Whenever you feel like that, just change your entire routine for a day even! Makes a difference!
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, yesterday I was able to stay inside for most of the day while the wind and snow produced some blizzard conditions! I go back to work tonight so everything should be fine! Nice to have the bad weather hit your days off! 
This wonderful salon will exist til Dec 15th and then gets dismantled! Either it gets filled with stylists who rent chairs or is sold to be saved, but it's days are numbered in any event. The race is on! And guess who gets caught under the avalanche? Me on this deal, that is who! Some adventures in life are not fun! This is one of them! Ever have a curse in your life? Then you know exactly what I am talking about! So whatever happens now, will happen now, will happen fast! Time to dust off the old insturment and to get practicing. I have found so many How To Play videos on http://www.youtube.com/ so i now can learn how to play a lot of great tunes! Tis a happy day as i begin! Between redoing the website and learning to play, i think my winter will go by fast! As the Wandering Hobo wanders through cyberspace looking for great places to visit!
I walked over to the corner where i always walk to as I wait for my bus. Well, I noticed the roads were slick and traffic was crawling and had trouble going up this slight incline. The bus on the left had slid out of control with the back end on the boulevard! I waited 5 hours for my bus to arrive! That has to be a record! It was pretty nasty out there! The north side of the city got it the worst! What a night to remember!
Make that, the "eyes" have it! Found that shot in my travels today. Seems like there is good news in the making finally. With lots of irons in the fire, it seems to be near time to do some harvesting! Maybe it is time to get out of the rut now? Ruts are not fun to be in!
